Course Structure & Fees
Step 1: CHC52021-Diploma of Community Services (IHNA)
- Duration: 12 months (Full-time)
- Tuition Fee: AUD 18,000
- Minimum English Requirement: IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent)
- Location: IHNA campuses across Australia
Step 2: Bachelor of Social Work (IHM)
- Duration: 3 years (after credit transfer)
- Tuition Fee: AUD 60,000 for the full course
- English Requirement: Students who have completed DCS with IHNA are eligible for English waiver*
- Location: IHM – North Melbourne campus.
Entry Requirements
Standard entry requirements for the BSW include Year 12 completion or Certificate IV completion or equivalent, studied in English, and work and/or volunteer experience in human services will be considered alongside education requirements.
English Language Proficiency Entry Requirements must be met by the student English language proficiency:- Minimum Academic IELTS level Overall 6.0 and no band less than 6.0 or equivalent scores in PTE/ other English test to start the Diploma of Community Services
- Direct entry through a pass in an Australian English for Academic Purpose (EAP) course with a minimum score of 70%, OR
- As prescribed/ recommended by the AASW
Credit Transfer
On successful completion of the CHC52021-Diploma of Community Services at IHNA,students are awarded credit equivalent to the first year of the Bachelor of Social Work at IHM. This means you enter directly into second year, graduating sooner with two qualifications behind you.

- Visa Application (International Students): With your CoE, you may apply for a subclass 500 student visa to study on campus in Australia.
